MoniX Wrap-Up: Hard Work and Lots of Fun

Recently, about 50 new Monitronics Authorized Dealers headed to the Omni Hotel near Monitronics' headquarters to meet their teams, network, and learn all about the business from seasoned sales, operations and tech employees. 

MoniX brought dealers together from a mix of cities, states and business backgrounds to collaborate and share ideas, while learning from some of the industry's best.

Sessions included a breakdown of Monitronics' Alarm Response Center, Field Service and Install standards; sales, marketing and recruiting tips, and valuable information on our eContract platform, funding and legal/IT best practices. There was also a session on the Customer Experience, a newer Monitronics initiative aimed at improving the customer lifecycle and enhancing communication. 

There was also a session led by industry veteran Todd Town of 1st Alarm, who talked about everything from marketing and sales tactics to appearance and attrition. Many dealers found this talk especially helpful, as it gave them insight into different approaches and a unique perspective of the changing industry landscape.

In our typical work hard, play hard fashion, dealers enjoyed an evening vendor and networking reception, challenged each other at bowling and other games during our Pin Stack outing, and Alex Valencia of MX Security even took home a free iPad after winning a drawing Wednesday morning. 

The week wrapped with an interesting panel discussion with Monitronics Executive Vice President and CFO, Mike Meyers; Senior Director of Sales and Dealer Development, Maui Bishr; and Director of Sales, Travis Miller. They answered questions about new products, customer retention and ways to reduce attrition, the future of Monitronics and how the company is working to make business better for dealers.

After a week of intense learning and lots of fun, our new dealers are excited and looking forward to implementing what they learned. Each MoniX gives us an opportunity to share decades worth of knowledge with our dealers, and their enthusiasm is a testament to the value of the program.
