Earlier this week, over 100 new and veteran alarm dealers from across North America ascended on the Omni Hotel near MONI’s headquarters in Dallas, Texas for MONI’s exclusive sales, growth and development conference, MONI | X.
MONI | X brought alarm dealers and associates together from a number of cities, states, and business backgrounds, including many of MONI’s top dealers, to collaborate and share ideas while hearing from our influential and motivating guest speakers.
Sessions included presentations from highly successful MONI dealers sharing their stories, MONI directors sharing knowledge and tools for development, software companies with products designed to help dealers grow, sales trainers providing great training tools and techniques, Q and A with the various speakers, and a panel discussion with MONI’s top executives.
Our keynote speaker, Tim Grover, who shared a number of experiences and lessons he learned from working with athletes like Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. He talked about how in any business, whether professional sports or security sales, you must remain competitive, have a strong sense of responsibility, and view pressure as a privilege. Tim also shared his Relentless 13 traits, which served as a great talking point and allowed the dealers in attendance to share their secrets to achieving their goals.
The group sessions gave audience members the opportunity to hear some of MONI’s most successful dealers share their sales secrets. Todd Fitch from Point Security and James Melad from Direct Protect Security and Surveillance shared the tactics they use to motivate their teams, recruit talent, and stay on top of their game.

MONI has a “work hard/play hard” culture, so attendees enjoyed refreshments and visited with vendor partners and sponsors at Monday night’s welcome reception. On Tuesday, we played games, bowled some strikes, and networked at Pinstack.
Many guests won signed copies of Tim Grover’s book, Relentless, and Grant Cardone’s book, The 10x Rule.
The event wrapped with an informative panel discussion with MONI CEO, Jeff Gardner, COO, Bruce Mungiguerra and Sr. Director of Sales and Dealer Development, Maui Bishir. They answered questions about the evolution of the industry, new products and services, customer retention, reducing attrition, the future of MONI and how the company is working to make business better for dealers.
